A Note from the Founder
Hi, I’m Mel — which fittingly means honey in Portuguese. Sun & Honey isn’t just skincare; it’s the culmination of my passion for health, my respect for nature, and my belief in the power of women supporting women.
Like so many women, I wanted skincare that worked with my body, not against it. My journey is deeply personal: I lost my mom to cancer in my twenties, and struggled with my own health challenges until I found healing through a paleo lifestyle and a return to nutrient-dense, ancestral foods.
When tallow skincare started showing up on the market, I was excited. But the products I tried felt... in a word, meh. Greasy textures. Plain jars. Basic formulas. Chalky sunscreens that left a ghostly white cast.

I wanted something different: clean ancestral skincare that combines nature’s best ingredients with trusted sourcing and good manufacturing practices to restore and protect skin for the demands of modern life.
