A Note from the Founder

Hi, I’m Mel — which fittingly means honey in Portuguese. Sun & Honey isn’t just skincare; it’s the culmination of my passion for health, my respect for nature, and my belief in the power of women supporting women.

Like so many women, I wanted skincare that worked with my body, not against it. My journey is deeply personal: I lost my mom to cancer in my twenties, and struggled with my own health challenges until I found healing through a paleo lifestyle and a return to nutrient-dense, ancestral foods.

Knowing the sensitivity of our skin to toxins, I searched for products that reflected those same values: clean, rooted in nature, and truly effective for modern life. Instead, I found tallow balms that felt greasy and mineral sunscreens that left a cakey finish.

I wanted something different: clean ancestral skincare that combines the best of nature’s wisdom with good manufacturing practices and synergistic ingredients to restore and protect skin for the demands of modern life. Sun & Honey was created to be that answer - honoring health, restoring skin, empowering women together.
